The American Library, the newest branch of the Karlsruhe Public Library and supported by the Friends of the American Library Karlsruhe e.V., offers an abundant variety of literature and other media in English and information about the United States as well as the most important recent English language publications. The American Library contains in English about 40.000 books (fiction, non-fiction, juvenile, reference, easy readers) about 700 DVDs more than 500 videos (film, music and travel) over 900 CDs, tapes, records (pop/rock, jazz, classical, country & western, etc.) books on tape and books on CD magazines and the newspapers International Herald Tribune and Guardian Weekly information materials on studying, working etc. in the USA CD-ROMs (test preparation materials for the TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, etc.) free internet access We offer also Educational Advising Service for students planning to study in the USA Cultural Events for adults and children & exhibitions Special Services for English classes and teachers Library Tours
